Da begynner det virkelig å nærme seg seriestart i BLNO. Tromsø Storms nye Coach/GM, Chris Warren, har vært I byen snart e nuke og har holdt tryout for årets spillerstall. Den er nå klar og i går kveld kom de to siste brikkene på plass – klubbens to nye importer Olisa Nwachie og Eron Harris. To meget atletiske spillere som Coach Warren tror vil bli en hit i BLNO. Tromso Storm Head Coach Chris Warren is happy to announce that the team’s two imports Olisa Nwachie and Eron Harris landed in Tromso last night.

Olisa Nwachie (23) is a very gifted power forward who has great size and length with NBA athleticism. Olisa played his freshman season for St.John’s of the Big East in New York City where he red shirted his first year for Head Coach Steve Lavin then transferring the next year when Coach Lavin resigned to play for Steve’s brother in law at Westmont University. Olisa was a star player all four years at Westmont being named to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference Team and NAIA All-America Third Team for the second straight year this past season. Olisa was one of two players on the team to start all 29 games, while averaging the second most minutes per game (28.4). He led the team and seventh in the GSAC in scoring (17.0 points per game) while he averaged 18.8 points per game in GSAC play…led the GSAC, sixth in the NAIA, and fourth best in a single season in program history with a .620 field goal percentage…led the team, third in the GSAC, 18th in the NAIA, and seventh most in a single season in program history with 1.51 blocks per game…led the team, third in the GSAC, 21st in the NAIA, and tied for fifth most in a single season with 44 blocks…shot 71.0% (147-207) from the free throw line, 13th best in the GSAC…147 free throws made are the 12th most in a single season in program history and 207 free throws attempted are the sixth most…second on the team and 14th in the GSAC with 5.7 rebounds per game…second on the team with 32 steals… Third on the team with 74 assists. Olisa led the team with five double-doubles on the season, including a fantastic performance against San Diego Christian (29 points, 11 rebounds). Scored 20+ points in nine games and 25+ points five times, including a season high 33 against OUAZ…scored in double figures in 24 of the 29 games… Had five double digit rebounding games, with a season high of 12 against Westcliff and Hope International. Olisa finishes his career at Westmont as Team captain…blocks (115), free throws made (375) and free throws attempted (546), blocks per game (1.0), field goal percentage (.569), total rebounds (559), field goals made (448), points (1,273).

Eron Harris (25) played for legendary Head Coach Tom Izzo at Michigan State of the Big Ten after playing his freshman/sophomore year at West Virginia University and is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. Eron is a dynamic outside shooter with NBA range, a terrific scorer who is always looking to be in attack mode and an NBA-level athlete with the potential to be a lockdown defender. While at Michigan State Eron averaged 10.4ppg his senior season, 3.0rpg, 78% from free throw line, 39% from 3 point line, 43% from the field, 1.9apg. Averaged 17.8 points in the four games Denzel Valentine missed due to injury…started 22 of the final 23 games…selected by ESPN’s Dan Dakich as his choice for Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year…scored in double figures in 15 games, including two games with more than 20 points…scored a season-high 27 points in a 99-93 overtime victory against Oakland University, including shooting 7-of-13 from the field, 2-of-3 from 3-point range and 11-of-15 from the foul line…he followed that game up with a team-high 21 points at Iowa surpassing 1,000 career points in the process. While at West Virginia University(Big 12) Eron appeared in 33 games, starting 32, averaging 17.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 31.4 minutes per contest. Last season Eron played in Finland for Pyrinto Tampere of their top league where he helped his team to reach the playoffs with 12.4ppg, 3.0rpg, an amazing 46% from 3 point line while playing 24 minutes per game. This summer Eron has been working out with the Indiana Pacers of the NBA until last week.
